I found some pictures comparing the rough sketches for the animation in Beauty and the Beast matched up with their finished forms! It's really cool to see how they match up, and how the animation of Belle and the Beast is drawn so differently.

This is... well, really impressive! I love how it uses both 2D and 3D and the claymation at the end was really cool too. Warning: it's a bit gross at a few points, but thankfully it not more than a few seconds!

Week 3!

What you have learned this week: Flash. Good lord Flash. ;u;

What you want to learn in the future: How to use flash competently!

Something that frustrated you this week: Me putting off my blog posts for no good reason I actually had Flash crash on me once! It was kind of really annoying and I don't know what I did to make it happen.

Something that has made you happy this week: I managed to get a lot done!

jaffajam:
Tidied up/modified version of something I did a while ago on my tablet, since I have finally accepted the fact I can draw better in Illustrator than I can in Photoshop.

Welp! I know I reblogged this a while ago, but I really want to do a better commentary on this. When I first saw this, I was really astounded that it had been made in Illustrator! It hadn't really occurred to me that you could use a vector image for something so pretty. Obviously I am not nearly as surprised now |D Still, it just really impressed me when I saw it, so I felt like you guys should see it too!

and come on who didn't laugh at the text in the last one it's amazing

isthatwhatyoumint:

i am a magical giiiirl

i am a lovebiiiiirrrrdddd

i am minty greeeeeeeeeeen

i siiiiiiiiiiiiiiing

I guess this isn't an animation, but seeing as we're working with still pictures right now...

I really love how the colors in this look! They're really cool and refreshing looking, and help the warm tones on the girl stand out as well. The loose, sketchy lines help convey the energy that she has very well, too- she really looks ecstatic to be flying!

Plus, the comments on it made me laugh. =u=

    ( other repost! )

    And here I thought my first project in Animation would be animating! We did a ~team building exercise~ instead! Had to build a tower out of toothpicks and really old gummis. lD My partners were this cool guy and a senior girl who sounds eerily like Seli-papa. I... will eventually be able to link to their blogs! Once I, you know. Learn everyone's names. QuQ

    ( reposting stuff from my old blog! derp derp. :B )

    Okay, from now on along with my silly pointless reblogs, I'll be posting a few posts every week for my BOCES class! >:D It'll just be about 3 posts a week, but I just wanted to inform you all!

    Anyways, for my first post for this, I'll be filling out the guidelines for one of the weekly posts! ... or something like that. ;v;

    • What you have learned this week: I've learned a lot this week! Mooostly on how to use a Mac. I'm still figuring out the basic keyboard commands, and the lack of a clickable scroll wheel is affecting me more than I thought it would. QuQ
    • What you want to learn in the future: I really can't wait to learn more techniques! I'm especially looking forward to being able to finally use a tablet~!
    • Something that frustrated you this week: Um... well, I guess learning that I won't be able to get way with texting in just about any of my classes? Oh, and I don't really like getting home an hour later, I guess...
    • Something that has made you happy this week: Figuring out how to make my desktop background Dave within 2 hours of touching the computer for the first time Just being able to have this opportunity makes me happy! >u< that sounds so cheesy

    Sooo yeah! >v< I'll be posting like this every week, along with 2 reviews or tutorials or... well, anything multimedia-related I can comment on!
