Final Animation Blog Entry

1. In general, what did you like most about this class?

I enjoyed being able to work with a lot of equipment and programs that I hadn't been exposed to before this class. I never thought I'd come to love vector drawings so much, and even the simple things like having a larger screen or knowing what size tablet I'm comfortable with were very helpful.

2. What was your favorite project and why?

I liked the 2D and 3D shorts-- even if they were some of the more difficult projects, the freedom available for them compared to other projects made them very enjoyable.

3. In general, what did you like least about this class?

I kind of wish I'd had an opportunity to work a slower paced project with a deadline of several months, but that probably wouldn't have been very practical, so I can see why the deadlines were tight for this class.

4. What was your least favorite project and why?

Stop Motion and the Independent Study. Both of them ended up kind of half-assed, because I was focusing on other projects and assumed those would be easy...

5. What are your future plans upon graduation?

I really want to go to an art college! I still haven't picked where.

6. Do you feel that this class will help you achieve your future academic or career goals? Please give specific examples.

I do. This class has opened my eyes to a whole new set of techniques I can incorporate into my art, as well as a new set of careers I can look into. While I can't say I've remedied the problems I have with my art, this class has helped me in many ways in both art and time management.

7. What advice would you give to incoming students?

Don't spend a lot of time on Tumblr or Facebook in the beginning of the year or else you will get the book thrown at you...!

8. Additional comments:

Thank you for putting up with me and various obnoxious traits, everyone! I'll try to goof off less next year!
